Personal Progress

NOCN's qualifications in Personal Progress have been designed to address the needs of learners working at Entry 1 or below and in particular those with learning difficulties and disabilities.

For many learners in this group, progress to independence is a difficult and lengthy process which is exacerbated by the lack of access to cohesive and focussed provision. These qualifications are a response to this issue, offering learners opportunities to address their specific needs, develop new skills and gain recognition of their progress towards independence.

They have also been designed to meet the requirements of the Foundation Learning (FL) independent living / supported employment strand by providing a foundation for lifelong learning. This focuses on transferable social and life skills which are essential for living and working in the community.
