Highways Maintenance Skills Operative End Point Assessor
We are now looking for experienced candidates to become freelance End Point Assessors (EPA) in a range of sectors. These positions are with NOCN, a successful and expanding national EPA organisation which is a market leader for apprentice assessment.
Job Summary
NOCN are looking for suitably qualified people to become freelance contracted End Point Assessors, for the Highways Maintenance Skilled Operative Apprenticeship Standard.
The role of our End Point Assessors is to assess an apprentice’s competence and knowledge against the industry specific standards.
Role Requirements
- Occupational competence - people with experience within the sector of Highways Maintenance on rural and urban roads who should be able to demonstrate up-to-date, relevant, in-depth and broad experience through evidence of CPD
- Achieved a Level 2 or above in Highways Maintenance and Repair
- Hold a recognised Training Award or Instructional Qualification that is suitable to Highways Maintenance and Repair
- Competent to assess – must be working towards or have achieved a relevant recognised assessor qualification such as a Level 3 Award in Assessing Competence in the Workplace and continue to practice to that standard. Assessors who hold earlier qualifications (D32 or D33 or A1)

NOCN will provide training sessions for all our End Point Assessors through a variety of training methods such as webinars, briefings and updates which will ensure that they are kept up to date with qualification requirements and quality assurance procedures.
Contract rate of pay
Please note, these are freelance contracted positions. The rate of pay will vary according to the nature of specific contracts, for example based upon the number of standards, sectors and levels.
