NOCN is a market-leading international Awarding Organisation (AO) and Government-approved End Point Assessment Organisation (EPAO) that has been creating opportunities' for 30 years. NOCN Group also includes NOCN (UK), India Skills Foundation, CSkills Awards, acquired from CITB in 2017 and One Awards (from 1 August 2018.)
As a progressive educational charity with a social rather than commercial focus, NOCN is at the forefront of vocational skills development and apprenticeships, including the introduction of the Apprenticeship Levy in the UK. NOCN is the only awarding body in the UK which specialises in productivity and is focussed on increasing the UK's competitiveness globally. As the second largest awarding organisation in the UK construction sector, we are committed to working for a better future for UK construction skills, via our sub-brand Cskills Awards.
NOCN acquired Cskills Awards from the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) in 2017 creating the UK’s second largest construction AO. The move has greatly reassured the market by guaranteeing its ability to meet the challenges ahead with increased and enhanced skills.
CSkills has a peerless reputation in the construction sector, delivering a wide range of qualifications from Entry Level to Level 7 – and now as part of NOCN Group delivers some 4,000 apprenticeships a year.
It also created a stronger, added-value range of approved qualifications and a more diverse product offering to meet the needs of employers. This includes extensive construction qualifications from ‘license to practice’ to professional development, English and Maths Functional Skills and the new ‘T Level’ technical qualifications from autumn 2019.
NOCN is committed to supporting high quality adult education and skills in Wales. It has operated in Wales for over 25 years, offering a wide range of regulated qualifications and educational services to FE colleges, training providers, organisations and employers.
It supports the Welsh Government’s Skills strategy to provide pathways for learners to develop the skills employers need, through vocational and technical education, including NVQs and apprenticeships in many sectors including Financial Services and Retail.
Through its construction arm - Cskills Awards - NOCN provides the widest range of construction sector qualifications and services, including skills for building, construction, plant, plumbing, heating, offsite, heritage and more.
NOCN is a not for profit charitable organisation, dedicated to creating opportunities in Wales.
