Be Safe at Work: Simple, trusted first aid training for every workplace

Accidents happen, and being prepared should always be the priority. That’s why we’ve launched our Be Safe at Work campaign.

The campaign helps organisations and training providers access high-quality first aid training that is simple to deliver, accessible to learners and aligned to workplace requirements.

In a compliance-led market, first aid training can often feel like a tick-box exercise. However, the reality is different. Employers need training that builds confidence, supports real-world situations and can be delivered consistently across their workforce. Our approach focuses on making that easier.

Accessible training that supports real outcomes

We have designed this campaign to reduce barriers and make it straightforward to engage with first aid training at any level. Whether you are introducing basic awareness or delivering full qualifications, there is now a more accessible way to do both.
Through Be Safe at Work, you can:
• Access Basic Life Saving training for free through a purely online interactive course
• Deliver or complete Emergency First Aid at Work (Level 3) for just £5, currently half price
• Work with approved centres providing local, practical delivery
This combination allows organisations to build knowledge, strengthen workplace readiness and meet requirements in a way that is both practical and cost-effective. Emergency First Aid at Work is also supported by purpose-built eLearning and quality resources, making it easier to combine independent learning with delivery and assessment.

Designed for employers and providers

The campaign has been developed to support both sides of the training journey.
For employers, it provides a clear and affordable route to improving workplace safety. For providers, it creates an opportunity to respond to demand with flexible, recognised training.
This means:

  • Employers can access training without unnecessary complexity
  • Providers can expand their offer with confidence
  • Learners benefit from consistent, high-quality delivery

Importantly, there is also a funding opportunity for eligible providers. The Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work is eligible for DfE funding through the 16–19 qualifications offer for the 2025/26 and 2026/27 academic years. This funding is delivered through the DfE’s 16 to 19 funding formula, supporting institutions such as Sixth Form and FE colleges to deliver study programmes and T Levels. Further details are available in the 16 to 19 funding guidance for the relevant academic years.

By connecting demand and delivery more effectively, we support a more joined-up approach to workplace training.

A simple step towards safer workplaces

First aid training should not be difficult to access or deliver. It should be clear, trusted and built around real workplace needs. By combining accessible entry points with recognisable qualifications, we are helping organisations take practical steps towards safer, more prepared workplaces.
