Since 2013, GlobalCert and NOCN Group have worked together to deliver high-quality English language qualifications through the ESOL International exam series in Greece. These exams provide learners with the opportunity to gain an internationally recognised English qualification alongside their mainstream education, helping them build essential skills for future academic and career success. Having recently joined our group of Charitable Members, it was great to reconnect and strengthen our longstanding relationship.

The visit also provided a great opportunity to oversee the operations of the busy winter exam period. A total of 7,735 ESOL International exams took place across 54 centres throughout Greece in December. There were also over 5,857 speaking exams, expertly managed by 40 interlocutors. Graham joined our dedicated EQA team to observe the delivery of the exams and ensure consistency and high-quality standards across all centres.

In addition to quality assurance activities, the visit served as the annual strategic meeting with GlobalCert. Discussions focused on strengthening the joint venture agreement and exploring the development of an NOCN Group subsidiary in Europe to support ESOL delivery across wider European markets. Together, we are committed to developing a range of ESOL products and supporting learners of English across Europe.
