Our Key Takeaways from AoC Annual Conference and Exhibition 2025

On November 18th and 19th, we attended the Association of Colleges Annual Conference and Exhibition 2025 at the ICC in Birmingham, alongside our partner Quantum Training. The energy was inspiring, with plenty of insightful conversations around our Green Skills provision and the future of further education. We also enjoyed two days of inspiring keynote speakers and sector-shaping breakout sessions.

How We're Closing the Green Skills Gap
Together with Quantum Training, we are powering skills for a Net-Zero future by delivering retrofit and renewable energy training solutions to meet the need for green skills. Together, we're addressing the green skills gap by co-designing qualifications in line with national apprenticeship frameworks, investing in custom-built training facilities, and designing curricula aligned to industry needs, including:
• Level 2 and 3 Retrofit and Renewable courses
• Short CPD modules on air tightness and renewable technologies
• Skills Bootcamps and Sector-Based Work Academy Programmes (SWAPs)
o To ensure new entrants into the trades, and importantly, to bring industry into the classroom
