Inspiring Young Learners this Dream Big Day
Posted 27 June 2025
At NOCN Group, we believe that building a better future starts with investing in the learners of today.
That’s why we are proud to take part in this year’s Dream Big Day, a national initiative designed to help school children explore the world of work and imagine their future careers.
As a global education charity focused on skills, we are committed to creating opportunities for people of all ages to grow, learn, and progress. For the first time, we have partnered with the Dream Big Day team to develop targeted resources and lesson plans for school children.
We have developed a creative, curriculum-linked activity pack of resources for Careermag for Primary Schools - delivered directly into schools across the country this week. The pack introduces young learners to sustainability, energy efficiency, and green careers, and encourages pupils to think critically about how small changes at home and school can make a big difference to the planet. These themes align closely with NOCN Group’s portfolio of Skills Solution, particularly our focus on developing green skills and preparing learners for the future world of work.
Working with Quantum Training, specialists in renewable energy education, we have also launched the Eco-Homes Challenge. We’re offering schools the chance to win a Portable Eco House worth £5,000, helping students explore solar power, insulation, and other green technologies in a hands-on way.
This initiative reflects our ongoing work to expand access to green skills. Through our courses and qualifications in renewable energy, we’re helping to prepare the next generation of professionals for careers in solar power, battery storage, and sustainable construction.
Dream Big Day is more than a one-off event—it’s part of our wider commitment to supporting lifelong learning and workforce development. By engaging learners early and showing them how their actions today can shape the jobs of tomorrow, we’re helping to build a more sustainable and skilled future.
Graham Hasting-Evans, Chief Executive of NOCN Group, said:
“At NOCN Group, we’re committed to helping young people connect their learning to real-world opportunities, especially in areas like sustainability and green skills. We are delighted to be joining in with this year’s Dream Big Day celebrations – championing early engagement to shape lifelong ambition. By supporting schools with practical resources and activities they can take home, we’re helping to build a future workforce that’s skilled, confident, and ready to make a difference.”
