Super Trowel 2025: A Showcase of Excellence in Construction Skills
Posted 20 August 2025
NOCN Group was pleased to participate in Super Trowel 2025, one of the UK’s leading events dedicated to celebrating talent and innovation within the construction sector.
We were proud to serve as the judging panel sponsor for the second consecutive year and have committed to continuing our support for a further two years.
Held over two days, the event brought together a wide range of stakeholders including colleges, training providers, employers, and individual traders, all united by a shared commitment to advancing construction skills. The atmosphere was vibrant and engaging, with attendees demonstrating exceptional craftsmanship and enthusiasm throughout.
Visitors to our stand had the opportunity to engage with our team, learn more about our suite of construction skills solutions - including the Construction Plant Competence Scheme (CPCS) - and take part in our darts challenge to win prizes. We were delighted to connect with so many professionals and organisations committed to developing excellence in construction training and delivery.

We were also proud to sponsor the judging panel for this year’s bricklaying competitions. Steve Thompson MCIOB, Group Director of Skills at NOCN Group, joined a team of industry experts to evaluate competitors on their technique, speed, and precision. The standard of work presented was outstanding, and we extend our congratulations to all participants and winners. The competition was judged by a panel of respected industry professionals, and NOCN Group endorses the integrity and fairness of their process. We fully support the decision made by the Super Trowel judging panel in awarding Cole Stamper the title of Super Trowel Pro Series 2025 winner. Cole’s work met the highest standards set out in the competition criteria, and we commend all participants for their exceptional skill and commitment.
It was great to engage with long-standing industry figures such as Ashley Mahoney and Bob Boll, whose expertise and dedication continue to inspire the next generation of bricklayers. Their experiences exemplify how hard work, dedication and access to high-quality training can lead to extraordinary achievements.
For those looking to upskill or explore specialist areas of construction, we work in partnership with colleges and employers to deliver high-impact construction training that supports a safer, more skilled, and sustainable workforce. Through mapped qualifications, tutor support, CPD-accredited short courses, and recognised compliance solutions, we help teams build capability across core trades and in emerging green skills. Our flexible training offers ensure learning remains practical, relevant, and accessible — from the classroom to construction sites.
