Coronavirus update for customers

As you will be aware the government imposed a third national lockdown from Tuesday 5th January 2021. You will find out more operational detail on the implications for each of these services through the following links:

Which qualifications are being withdrawn?

The following qualifications in Sector 1.3 Health and Social Care are being withdrawn:

601/5608/9 - NOCN Level 2 Award in Youth Work Practice

601/5607/7 - NOCN Level 2 Certificate in Youth Work Practice

601/5611/9 - NOCN Level 3 Certificate in Youth Work Practice

601/5612/0 - NOCN Level 3 Diploma in Youth Work Practice

How could the withdrawal affect the learner?

No learners will be disadvantaged due to a 6 month notice period being given.

What is the last date for registrations?

The last date for registrations for these qualifications will be 31/03/2020.

What is the last date for certification?

The last date for certifications for these qualifications will be 31/03/2023.

Are there replacement qualifications?

The existing qualifications are being updated in consultation with the National Youth Agency and other Awarding Bodies and will replace the existing qualifications from 1st April 2020.

It is envisaged that the new Level 3 Trailblazer standard in Youth Work will go live on 1 April 2020 (The National Youth Agency will be putting this forward for approval from the Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education on 30th October 2019). The new NOCN Level 3 Certificate in Youth Work Practice will be mandatory in this new standard.
