NOCN_Cskills Awards Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Wood Occupations (Construction)
Dear Colleague,
As part of our commitment to provide qualifications in line with industry requirements we regularly review all qualifications across all occupations.
A review has been made via the CITB Standards Setting Body (SSB) on the Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Wood Occupations (Construction) qualification and therefore we wish to inform you of the changes as shown below.
The above qualification has been replaced with a new Qualification with a new Ofqual Portal reference and the following changes have been applied:
• NOCN_Cskills Awards Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Wood Occupations (Construction) (600/3633/3) to be replaced with -
– NOCN_Cskills Awards Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Wood Occupations (Construction) (603/5468/9), available as from 1 May 2020.
PLEASE NOTE:
Pathways – Shopfitting Site Work and Shopfitting Bench Work has moved from the updated Level 2 NVQ Certificate Wood Occupations, to the Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Wood Occupations.
Pathway 1 (Site Carpentry):

Unit10A: Installing second fixing components in the workplace – updated to a version 3, GLH now 107

Unit15A: Marking out from setting out details for routine architectural joinery products in the workplace – updated to a version 4, GLH now 70 – was an optional unit, now a mandatory unit

Unit629: Installing low level timber decks in the workplace – updated to a version 2, GLH now 97
Unit630: Installing elevated timber decks in the workplace – updated to a version 2, GLH now 113
Pathway 9 (Pre-Assembled Roof Structure Installer):
(No changes to this pathway).
The existing qualification will close for registrations on 30 April 2020 and the Achievement and Certification dates will expire 30 April 2023 to allow anyone previously registered to achieve and be certificated before the old qualification is officially withdrawn.
• Quartz web, Horizon, Website and Skillsfile will be updated accordingly with the new amendments and the qualification structure is attached in the DOWNLOADS tab on the website for the qualification - NOCN_Cskills Awards Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Wood Occupations (Construction) qualification, with the changes for your information.
• Also attached in the DOWNLOADS tab on the website, is the new unit versions with the changes highlighted, for your perusal.
