Notice for NOCN Centres

NOCN is currently experiencing technical issues affecting some email addresses.

To help ensure your emails are received and responded to promptly, all NOCN centres contacting their External Quality Assurer (EQA) should also copy the Assurance Team into the email at assurance@nocn.org.uk.

This temporary measure applies to NOCN centres only and will help minimise any delays in communication while the issue is being resolved.

Dear Centres

Following a regulatory review NOCN is withdrawing these qualifications, from the Register of Qualifications, from the end of this month:

• NOCN_Cskills Awards Level 2 NVQ Certificate in Chimney Sweeping
• NOCN_Cskills Awards Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Chimney Occupations - Chimney Engineering

We attach for Centres information the letter we have sent to Ofqual withdrawing the qualifications and setting out the rationale for this action.

In addition we are writing to CITB and CSCS regarding this matter.

We trust this does not cause significant issues for Centres, but clearly we must ensure compliance with the Government’s regulatory requirements as well as statute.
