Which qualifications are being withdrawn?

The following Level 3 NVQ qualification in sector 5.2 Building and Construction is being withdrawn as from the 30th June 2026.

603/2420/X - NOCN Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Cladding Occupations (Construction)

As directed by CITB via Incremental changes 2025 -2026 - the existing Qualification Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Cladding Occupations (Construction) is being withdrawn, as one of the pathways is being removed - Rainscreen Wall Cladding Systems and therefore will become a standalone qualification, therefore the TQT and GLH changes and a new version Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Cladding Occupations (Construction) emerges.

How could the withdrawal affect learners?

No learners will be disadvantaged as learners will have until the 30th June 2029 to achieve certification of the above qualification being withdrawn.

What is the last date for registrations?

The last date for registrations for this qualification listed above will be 30th June 2026.

Will the existing qualifications be extended beyond the operational end date for registrations?

NO, NOCN will not be extending the operational end date for the withdrawn qualification after 30th June 2026

What is the last date for certifications?

The last date for certification for the withdrawn qualification will be 30th June 2029.

Are there replacement qualifications?

As from the 1st July 2026, NOCN will be offering the following replacement qualification:
