As part of our commitment to provide qualifications and short courses in line with industry requirements NOCN Group have developed, in line with industry experts, a new short Course:
Train the Trainer Renewable Technologies
The course will be available for Centres to register their learners from the 10th August 2026.
The aim of this course is to provide learners with the knowledge and understanding required to deliver training programmes within the Green Technology industry.
The course covers:
- Understand the principles of training and education within the Green Technology sector.
- Develop the skills required to effectively deliver Green Technology training programmes.
- Apply technology-neutral teaching methods and scientific principles to training delivery.
- Gain knowledge of Air Source Heat Pump systems and their applications.
- Gain knowledge of Ground Source Heat Pump systems and their applications.
- Understand the principles, operation and application of Solar Thermal systems.
- Develop knowledge of electrical ecosystems including Solar PV, EV charging and battery storage.
- Build confidence in planning, delivering and evaluating technical training sessions.
- Understand professional practice requirements and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) expectations for trainers.
- Support the development of learners and workforce skills within the Green Technology industry.
Course structure:
- Course Length: 6-8 hours (or longer if needed)
- Minimum Age: 19
- Assessment: Modules 1 to: 10 short answer questions taken at the end of the Modules, taking 50 minutes. Marked by the assessor.
- Registration cost: £35
