Infrared Surface Heating Systems

The course will be available for Centres to register their learners from the 10th August 2026.

The aim of this course is to provide learners with the knowledge and understanding of infrared surface heating systems, including fundamental principles, applications, and safe working practices relevant to the industry.

The course covers:

• Principles of infrared radiation
• Thermal comfort factors
• Heating system comparisons
• Infrared heating products and applications
• Carbon film heating technology
• Energy efficiency strategies
• Smart controls and zoning systems
• Installation planning, safety, and compliance

Course structure:

• Course Length: 6-8 hours (or longer if needed)
• Minimum Age: 19
• Assessment: Modules 1 to 8: 10 short answer question papers taken at the end of the Modules, taking 50 minutes.
• Marked by the assessor.
• Registration cost: £35
