Which qualifications are being withdrawn?

The following Level 3 Diploma qualification suite in sector 1.3 Health and Social Care has been withdrawn as from the 31st August 2026.

• NOCN Level 3 Diploma in Health Screeners – (New Born Hearing)
• NOCN Level 3 Diploma in Health Screeners – (Diabetic Eye (Screener – Grader))
• NOCN Level 3 Diploma in Health Screeners – (Diabetic Eye (Screener))
• NOCN Level 3 Diploma in Health Screeners – (Diabetic Eye (Grader)
• NOCN Level 3 Diploma in Health Screeners – (Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm))

How could the withdrawal affect learners?

No learners will be disadvantaged as learners will have until the 31st August 2029 to achieve certification of the above qualification being withdrawn.

What is the last date for registrations?

The last date for registration is 31st August 2026.

Will the existing qualifications be extended beyond the operational end date for registrations?

NO, NOCN will not be extending the operational end date for the withdrawn qualification after 31st August 2026.

What is the last date for certifications?

The last date for certification for the withdrawn qualification will be 31st August 2029.

Are there replacement qualifications?

Yes, new qualifications have been created – operational start date 15th May 2026.
