As part of our commitment to provide qualifications in line with industry requirements we regularly review and develop new qualifications across all occupations.

The NOCN Group has developed the following new qualification:

NOCN Level 1 Diploma in Introduction to the Hospitality Industry

The qualification will be available for Centres to register their learners from the 1st October 2026.

The purpose of this qualification is to introduce learners to the initial skills and knowledge required to enter the hospitality sector. It supports learners new to both the general requirement of the industry and the specific requirements for food and beverage or catering.

Total Qualification Time (TQT) is 370 hours, including 365 Guided Learning Hours (GLH). Learners must achieve 5 credits from the 2 mandatory components and 32 credits from the remaining optional components.

Quartz web, Website and Horizon, will be updated accordingly with the new Qualification.
