Operational Update on NOCN Group Qualifications and Services

NOCN Group offers a wide range of services including regulated qualifications, EPA for apprenticeships, Job Cards in construction, Access to HE Diplomas, bespoke accreditation and educational and skills support training.

Working to support our valued customers

You will be aware of the various Government and World Health Organisation (WHO) announcements and official advice over COVID19.
The situation is unprecedented and has been continually changing. With colleges and schools now closed and the country in effect ‘locked down’, other than essential services, we will endeavour to continue to support you, your apprentices, learners and card applicants through this difficult period.

We support Ofqual’s statement that the most important principle is fairness to all learners and apprentices, not only for those being assessed now, but also for those assessed before COVID-19.

Centre Support

All our staff are working from home, so we are still offering front line support, through telephony, email and web chat as usual.
Certificates for regulated qualifications and cards are being issued to centres in the normal way.
We aim to provide as full a range of our services as possible, where these can be delivered remotely, and we can use remote or recorded assessment methods, whilst maintaining the integrity of the assessment.
All face-to-face appointments for approval visits, External Quality Assurers, and external assessments have been suspended until training centres reopen and normal business resumes.
We are providing digital on-line support, including offering WebEx interviews, developing online invigilated exams in place of physical papers, and digital content support.

Nettur Technical Training Foundation (NTTF)

NOCN is delighted to be in partnership with NTTF (Nettur Technical Training Foundation) in Bangalore, benchmarking NTTF’s 3 year diploma across four disciplines.

Nettur Technical Training Foundation (NTTF) established in the year 1959, spread across India in 16 states. NTTF has been contributing to technical skill development of Indian youth and nation building for the last 60 years.

NTTF has PAN India operation in 60+ locations and trains 20,000+ students at any time. NTTF offers technical Short Term, Advanced Certificate, Diploma, Post Diploma and Postgraduate programs for the last 6 decades apart from various skill development program in line with NSQF standards.

Diploma programmes offered by NTTF are employment oriented and industry focused with extensive hands on training in various workshops/ labs related to the field of study, Latest Training Methods, Classroom Management with teaching practices, Modern Shop floor Practices- QMS, Kaizen, Lean Management, 5S Practices, Soft Skills leading to overall individual development, well equipped Library & Internet facilities to support the quest for knowledge and information, campus environment which promotes and supports the holistic development of trainees.

The NOCN – NTTF collaboration will focus on working together on skills capacity development and on undertaking a benchmarking exercise of NTTF existing vocational diploma training programmes. Ensuring their qualifications attain an international standard provided by NOCN’s quality assurance, validation and certification service. The output of the project will enable students to be skilled trained to an international standard and be job-ready for the global employment market, enhancing their employability skills to secure sustainable work within India and or overseas.
