NOCN celebrates the best of British Asian Apprentices by sponsoring Asian Apprenticeships Awards
Posted 29 October 2019
As an accredited Leader in Diversity and Investor in People (IIP), NOCN Group is proud to be sponsoring the prestigious Asian Apprenticeship Awards 2019, which will be announced at a ceremony at Edgbaston Stadium in Birmingham on 31 October.
The awards celebrate the achievements of British Asian Apprentices, their employers, and their learning providers. Shining a spotlight on exceptional talent within black and minority ethnic (BAME) communities, they highlight the opportunities an Apprenticeship can bring to not only the individual gaining new skills, but also the employer, and the wider impact this has on the economy. Apprentices from British Asian communities are in a minority, so by celebrating the success stories the aim is to inspire and spread the work that Apprenticeships are open to all.
Alongside sponsoring the event, NOCN’s Head of International Business Development and Marketing, Stephen Ram Kissun, is a judge at this year’s awards. He said: “I’ve been involved in the judging process of the Asian Apprenticeships Awards for a number of years now and the standard of nominations never ceases to amaze me. There are so many fantastic success stories which need to be shouted about in the Apprenticeships sector, and the awards gives us the platform to really make a difference by raising awareness.”
