Enhancing Mental Health Learning: What’s Coming This July

As awareness of mental health continues to grow, so too does the need for accessible, high-quality education that empowers individuals with the knowledge and confidence to understand and support mental wellbeing.

Mental health qualifications play a vital role in equipping learners with practical skills, raising awareness, and fostering more supportive environments across workplaces, education settings, and communities.

This Mental Health Awareness Week, we’re excited to share a glimpse of what’s coming next in our portfolio of qualifications.

From 1st July, our refreshed Mental Health qualifications will go live — designed to be more flexible, accessible, and inclusive for both learners and educators:

New qualification: Level 1 Award in Introduction to Mental Health
This brand-new qualification will be fully resourced with e-learning and teacher slides, and can be delivered in a way that suits your setting, online, in the classroom, or as blended learning.

Updates to Level 2 Award in Mental Health Awareness
This qualification has been enhanced with additional resources, including e-learning, alongside wider improvements to support delivery and learner engagement.

A more inclusive approach to assessment
At Level 2, we’re moving from a traditional knowledge test to a portfolio of evidence, making assessment more accessible, flexible, and holistic, and allowing learners to demonstrate their understanding in a variety of meaningful ways.

We’re proud to be evolving mental health education to better meet the needs of today’s learners - supporting more inclusive, flexible pathways to understanding mental health.

By investing in these updated qualifications, we’re ensuring that learning is accessible to a wider range of individuals, reflects real-life experiences, and provides practical, meaningful outcomes. Our focus is on empowering learners with the confidence and awareness they need to make a positive difference - both in their own lives and in the lives of others.
