Festival of Learning launches ‘Have a Go’ Month in June

Throughout June, the Festival of Learning has invited its partners to get involved in ‘Have a Go’ Month.

Aimed to encourage organisations to host free taster events for people who may be considering learning something new, the Festival of Learning has created a calendar which can be used as a way of promoting the events. Events could be anything from open days, free talks and lectures to taster sessions taking place in June which are free to attend. If you’re an NOCN centre hosting events throughout June, you can check if your event qualifies for a free listing on the ‘Have a Go’ calendar by clicking here.

NOCN is sponsoring the Employer Award at this year’s Festival of Learning, this particular award celebrates the remarkable stories of people and organisations that have used learning to develop and enhance the skills of their workforce. Past winners of this award include The British Army, Screwfix and Topps Tiles, all of whom displayed a special commitment to the development of their employees, providing excellent training opportunities to enhance business performance and personal development.

The 2017 winners will be announced on 23rd May.
