Graham Hasting-Evans, chief executive of international skills charity and owners of CPCS, NOCN Group, is featured in the latest issue of FE Week as the author of an article asking: ‘Where are the people to build 1.5m homes?’
As a leading expert on construction skills and training globally, Graham highlights the current skills shortages making the Government’s target to build 1.5 million homes impossible without significant changes. He argues that Skills England plans don’t go anywhere near far enough and offers alternative solutions.
He discusses what training programmes and investment are needed and what the challenges are with fast-tracking training, as well as quality and certification concerns.
