NOCN Group Launches Skill Solutions for Government’s Warm Homes Programme

NOCN Group is proud to announce the launch of our new skill solutions offer for Work Packages 1-3 of the Government’s Warm Homes Programme—supporting the UK’s mission to achieve Net Zero by 2050.

This Government-backed initiative, launching in 2025, will fund up to 9,000 subsidised training placements across England. With £8 million allocated for Phase 1 and a potential £9.28 million for Phase 2, the programme presents a significant opportunity to upskill the workforce and accelerate the retrofit of homes and buildings across the country.

As a leading international education charity and Green Skills advocate, NOCN Group has developed a comprehensive suite of future-fit training solutions aligned with Work Package 1 to 3.

 

Work Package 1 

  • Retrofit Assessor– Level 4 qualification aligned with PAS 2035, equipping Domestic Energy Assessors to professionally evaluate dwellings for retrofit suitability. 
  • Retrofit Assessor for Older and Traditional Buildings – enhanced Level 4 training focused on assessing pre-1919 buildings, incorporating heritage-specific considerations into PAS 2035-aligned assessments.
  • Retrofit Coordinator?– Level 5 diploma providing advanced knowledge in project coordination and risk management for domestic retrofit projects under PAS 2035.

Work Package 2 

  • NVQs in Insulation and Building Treatments (IBT)– industry-recognised qualifications assessed in live, on-site environments. 
  • Experienced Worker Practical Assessments (EWPAs)– a fast-track route to NVQ certification for seasoned professionals.
  • IBT Training Qualifications– flexible, accessible courses for new entrants and those looking to upskill.

Work Package 3

  • Entry into Energy Efficiency– foundational qualifications introducing sustainability, carbon awareness, and energy efficiency across sectors.
  • Understanding Retrofit– Level 2 training focused on domestic retrofit principles and insulation techniques, aligned with PAS 2035 standards.
  • Energy Efficiency in Older and Traditional Buildings– Level 3 qualification equipping learners to assess and recommend retrofit solutions for pre-1919 buildings.

Our qualifications are designed to help training providers maximise funding opportunities and deliver impactful, accredited training that meets national standards.
