NOCN Group are proud to be mentioned in the UK Prime Minister's recent announcement on strengthened trade between the UK and India.
During a two-day trade mission, the government celebrated 10,600 new jobs being unlocked to boost growth and create jobs for both countries. NOCN Group has independently secured £2.11 million in business deals to supply Ofqual-regulated qualifications to India’s skills and vocational sector, placing it among 29 UK businesses contributing to over £3.6 billion in investments into the country.
As a UK-based organisation that provides future-fit skills solutions around the world, NOCN Group is working closely with partners in India to bring the best of British educational standards to support Indian skills development. Part of NOCN Group, the NOCN India Skills Foundation (NISF) is a not-for-profit organisation leading vocational education and training in India, working with governments, Sector Skill Councils, and global partners to align Indian qualifications with international standards, empower underserved communities, and deliver UK-quality assessments through a nationwide network.
Our new initiative brings Ofqual-regulated qualifications to Indian technical and vocational education and training (TVET) as part of the Government's 'Skill India Mission', helping prepare youth for work. These qualifications will open job opportunities and improve outcomes for learners nationwide.
Dr Sunil Abrol, Director of Operations of NOCN India Skills Foundation, said:
“NISF has made a significant impact in India by upgrading Indian qualifications to international qualifications, facilitating international mobility. NISF will soon be launching ESOL International qualifications in India to further enhance its footprint in the Indian skills market.”
Graham Hasting-Evans, Chief Executive of NOCN Group, said:
“Our work in India reflects our commitment to empowering young people with the skills they need to succeed in a global economy. By delivering robust, internationally recognised qualifications, we’re helping to build a stronger workforce and drive positive change for both the UK and India."
