NOCN Group Welcomes Steve Mulholland, CPA Chief Executive, to Board as Trustee

NOCN Group is pleased to announce the appointment of Steve Mulholland, Chief Executive of the Construction Plant-hire Association (CPA), to its Board as a Trustee.
Steve brings extensive leadership experience and deep sector knowledge, particularly across construction and plant, which will be instrumental in supporting the organisation’s charitable objectives and long-term strategic ambitions.
Steve Mulholland is a highly respected figure within the construction and plant-hire industries, with a proven track record of driving industry collaboration, championing standards, and supporting workforce development. As Chief Executive of the CPA, he has been at the forefront of initiatives that strengthen skills, safety, and best practice across the sector.
In his new role as Trustee, Steve will provide valuable guidance and insight to the NOCN Group Board, helping to shape the delivery of the organisation’s mission to create opportunities through globally recognised qualifications, apprenticeships and skills solutions. His expertise in construction and plant will support the continued development of sector-relevant provision that meets employer needs and enhances industry standards.

There has not been a better example of an exemplar card scheme which it has become, which other sectors aspire to get to. Responsible for the setting up over 190 purpose-built Training and Testing Centres geographically spread throughout the UK, which has benefited millions of operatives over the years, while helping to raise standards. It is important that these standards are maintained and evolve in safety critical environments such as ours.”
