NOCN welcomes the Lord Mayor of Sheffield to officially open new offices in the city centre

Following the exciting move, NOCN is delighted to share the news that the Lord Mayor of Sheffield, Magid Magid, will be joining the team to officially open the new offices on Friday 14 September, 12:00 – 13:00.

Leading Awarding Organisation NOCN is proud to have been based in Sheffield since it was established more than 30 years ago and recently its headquarters have moved from premises near Parkway on the outskirts of the Sheffield into new city centre offices in the Aero Building on Concourse Way, Sheaf Street.

As one of Sheffield City Region’s leading employers, NOCN has gone from strength to strength, becoming the market leading apprentice End Point Assessment Organisation in England, at the forefront of apprenticeship reforms, and acquiring other organisations including leading construction sector Awarding Organisation Cskills Awards.

Following the exciting move, NOCN is delighted to share the news that the Lord Mayor of Sheffield, Magid Magid, will be joining the team to officially open the new offices on Friday 14 September, 12:00 – 13:00.

As the NOCN Group grows and expands into new markets with staff based at offices in Norfolk, Wales, County Durham and India (at subsidiary NOCN India Skills Foundation), the organisation is proud to have its headquarters remaining deeply rooted in Sheffield. A longstanding driving force in equality, diversity and inclusion, NOCN has always gone the extra mile to attract the best talent from across the community and knocking down career barriers for everyone. It has demonstrated how exemplary practice in this field is not just the right and fair way to operate, but the best route for securing the best people across the organisation that is defined by its skills, attitudes and behaviours.

NOCN Group’s managing director Graham Hasting-Evans says: “This is an exciting time for the Sheffield City Region and an exciting time for skills development in the UK as we look to fill the productivity gap we face in comparison to other competing nations. We are proud to be at the forefront of this agenda, working with training providers, employers, and learners to offer the very best qualifications, assessment, and consultancy. The growth and diversification of our organisation puts us in a strong position to champion things such as quality in vocational learning, apprenticeships and productivity improvement, and lobby to make the Further Education sector as fit for purpose as possible for employers, learners and providers. Although we work internationally, we have a strong connection to the Sheffield City Region and want to do all that we can to give back to our local economy through the work we do with local people and by creating exciting careers at our own organisation. We hope our enthusiasm for upskilling the nation from our home in Sheffield will be something that the Lord Mayor shares during his visit on 14th September.”
