Please note that NOCN Group will be following the guidance issued by the ESFA, IfATE, Ofqual, CCEA, QAA and Qualifications Wales, and will update our customers as things change.

If you have any concerns or would like to discuss the impact on your centre, apprentices or learners please contact us on nocn@nocn.org.uk or 0300 999 1177 (Option 2).

Working to support our valued customers

You will be aware of the various Government and World Health Organisation (WHO) announcements and official advice over COVID19.
The situation is unprecedented and has been continually changing but we will endeavour to continue to support you, your apprentices, learners and card applicants through this difficult period.

We support Ofqual’s statement that the most important principle is fairness to all learners and apprentices, not only for those being assessed now, but also for those assessed before COVID-19.

Centre Support

All our staff are working from home, so we are still offering front line support, through telephony, email and web chat as usual.
Certificates for regulated qualifications and cards are being issued to centres in the normal way.
We aim to provide as full a range of our services as possible, where these can be delivered remotely, and we can use remote or recorded assessment methods, whilst maintaining the integrity of the assessment.
All face-to-face appointments for approval visits, External Quality Assurers, and external assessments have been suspended until training centres reopen and normal business resumes.
We are providing digital on-line support, including offering WebEx interviews, developing online invigilated exams in place of physical papers, and digital content support.

Please contact us to discuss how best we can support you on nocn@nocn.org.uk or 0300 999 1177 (Option 2).

Best wishes from all at NOCN to you our valued customers. We hope you all remain safe and well.

Safe Worker Launches Online

NOCN launches Safe Worker, a new on-line Level 2 qualification in Health and Safety.

NOCN in collaboration with Mylearnadfriend Ltd has joined forces to provide an innovative new Health and Safety qualification which is HSE compliant and meets the needs of employers from all business sectors, appropriate for all levels of the workforce and fully accredited by NOCN.

‘Safe Worker' is available via a new website. It is an easy to use online tool with activities covering over twenty essential safety topics, with interactive 360-degree risk assessment tools, online testing and assessment leading to instant electronic NOCN certification.

The qualification content includes:

  • Adverse events
  • Accident reporting
  • Manual handling
  • Working at height
  • Personal protective equipment

For a full break down of the content, click here.

With the increased demand for online learning, coupled with the growing need for better understanding of workplace health and safety, this unique online qualification is set to make a big impact. Employers want instant access to online learning in health and safety to satisfy the increasing demand and ensure their staff are aware. By improving awareness around workplace health and safety, a business can improve its productivity whilst reducing its risk of accidents and injury.

Although there are other workplace safety courses on the market, what sets this course apart is that it is accredited by NOCN. This is important because it means the qualification content has been created to the highest standard, the final test is independently assessed and verified and the qualification gained is fully accredited and approved by Ofqual, all of which gives learners a valuable qualification to support their career aspirations.

In order to access Safe Worker, colleges, learning providers and employers simply register their learners on the mynocn website. Learners then work through the online lessons at their own pace and once ready they progress to the final assessment. When they pass they will be issued with an official NOCN digital certificate. The price is just £40 plus VAT per learner, which includes assessment and certification, with discounts available for larger learner cohorts.

Safe Worker is available to NOCN Centres. To begin the process of registering learners, click here.
