Sheffield Mayor Opens New NOCN City Centre HQ

NOCN Group welcomed Sheffield’s Lord Mayor, Magid Magid to officially open their new headquarters at the Digital Campus in Sheffield City Centre.

Sheffield based Awarding Organisation and leading apprentice End Point Assessment Organisation NOCN Group welcomed Sheffield’s Lord Mayor, Magid Magid to officially open their new headquarters at the Digital Campus in Sheffield City Centre.

The group has been based in Sheffield for over 30 years and the new offices in the Digital Campus’ Acero building reflect the growth they have recently experienced. Staff numbers more than tripled, with the company outgrowing their previous headquarters near Parkway on the outskirts of Sheffield.

NOCN Group employs 105 people across its offices in Sheffield, Norfolk, Wales, County Durham and India. With 55 employees based in the new headquarters, the organisation is proud to have a strong connection with the Sheffield City Region and has plans to create 40 more jobs by the end of 2019. The company is firmly committed to the Sheffield economy, and to creating exciting careers for local people.

Trustees for the group were also in attendance, Trustee Seb Schmoller said: “Our move to a city centre site, right next door to world-class businesses like WANdisco signals our commitment to Sheffield, to creating high-quality employment opportunities in the city, and being a prominent partner in shaping a productive future for the city”.

Managing Director Graham Hasting-Evans commented: “The Lord Mayor was the perfect choice to open our new offices. It was a pleasure to share our history and future plans with an inspiring figure in our local community, especially one who is interested in creating a diverse and productive society.”
