The Skills Centre Becomes NOCN Group Charitable Member

We are delighted to welcome The Skills Centre as a Charitable Member of NOCN Group.

Their employer-led, community-focused approach to construction training aligns closely with NOCN Group’s mission to create opportunities through learning and skills. Its expertise in apprenticeships and workforce upskilling supports the development of future-fit skills solutions, helping learners, employers, and communities across the UK. By working with employers, councils, and property developers, The Skills Centre attracts and trains local people for careers in construction, directly supporting NOCN’s charitable objectives of widening participation in education and promoting progression into employment.

Delivering construction apprenticeships, pre-employability programmes, NVQ construction qualifications (Levels 2–7), CSCS tests and health and safety training, The Skills Centre plays an important role in developing a site-ready workforce. Its employer-led model ensures training is relevant, practical and aligned with real-world skills needs, helping learners gain meaningful employment while supporting workforce development.

As a Charitable Member, The Skills Centre will work alongside NOCN Group and its wider charitable members community to share insight, experience and good practice that supports the development of future-fit skills solutions. This collaborative approach helps ensure learning provision continues to respond to changing industry requirements and the needs of learners and employers.

Speaking about joining NOCN Group as a Charitable Member, Niamh Perry, Executive Assistant at The Skills Centre, said:

“We are pleased to be working more closely with NOCN to help shape lives and provide valuable experiences across the UK.
