Stonemasons specialise in working with natural, sustainable, and ethically sourced stone for both new construction and restoration projects. Their work includes producing, installing, and conserving stone components in various contexts, such as walls, steps, water features, memorials, and façades.

There are several specializations within stonemasonry, including banker masons, interior and exterior stone fixers, memorial masons, stone façade preservationists, and heritage stonemasons. These professionals collaborate with other trades and work on both private and commercial projects, often following detailed designs and specifications.

They are responsible for ensuring high-quality, precise work, maintaining safety standards, and addressing challenges that arise during the project.
