Engineering Manufacturing Technicians provide specialist technical support to engineers, ensuring the development, production, and testing of products and processes meet customer specifications in terms of quality, cost, and delivery.

These professionals work across industries such as automotive, aerospace, and manufacturing, collaborating with internal teams, customers, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.

They are responsible for product quality, safety, and timely delivery while continuously improving processes and ensuring compliance with relevant standards. Typically, they report to engineering or manufacturing managers and work in both office and manufacturing environments.

This version of the Engineering Manufacturing Technician apprenticeship standard has been ended by IfATE but we are still taking contracts on this version. If you have any apprentices that are on this version then please contact us as we can still accommodate your apprentices.
