With three clearly defined assessment routes available, you can choose the level of involvement that best fits your delivery model, internal capacity, and learner volumes - helping to streamline processes and minimise administrative burden.
Each option is structured to provide clarity, consistency, and quality assurance, ensuring a smooth and stress-free assessment experience.
There are two approaches to the assessment for this apprenticeship. The approach will define who fills out different aspects of the portfolio of evidence:

In all approaches, the centre will work with the apprentice to collate evidence for the portfolio.
Knowledge test:
Completed and marked on NOCN’s online test platform.
Portfolio of evidence:
Centres will collate the portfolio of evidence, collecting evidence showing the apprentice’s competence from tasks such as the recommended observation.
* This option requires a discussion with the Business Development Manager.
Discussion or written questions:
The centre will conduct the discussion or written questions, and submit either a recording of the discussion, or the apprentice’s written answers to NOCN for marking.
