Employability Foundations: Preparing for Employment

NOCN Group have produced this Assured Course to help learners build the basic skills and confidence needed to get ready for work.

The course introduces simple ways to recognise personal strengths, understand what employers look for, and prepare to present yourself positively.

 Course Content:

• Discovering You – Explore your own personal strengths, qualities, and what makes you unique.
• Understanding Employers – Learn what employers look for in new staff and why these things matter.
• Online Presence – Explore simple, safe ways of showing a positive image online.
• Communicating Clearly – Practise basic communication skills for everyday work situations.

This course is delivered through either entirely classroom-based OR a blended model of eLearning and classroom delivery and comprises four sessions (totalling approximately 2 hours).

Course Structure:

• Course Length: approximately 2 hours but variable depending on how it is delivered.
• Minimum Age: 14+
• Assessment is via reflective activities, peer/tutor feedback, and a multiple-choice knowledge quiz.
