Course Content
Comply with information and/or instructions derived from risk assessments and method statements.
Use health and safety control equipment safely and comply with the methods of work to carry out the activity in accordance with current legislation and organisational requirement when applying Airless Finish.
Demonstrate compliance with given information and relevant legislation when applying Airless Finish in relation to the following:
- Safe use of access equipment - Safe use, storage and handling of materials, tools and equipment.
List components required to apply Airless Finish
Select resources associated with applying Airless Finish including tools, equipment, tape and jointing components, fixings, beads and trims select resources associated with applying Airless Finish including tools, equipment, tape and jointing components, fixings, beads and trims.
Demonstrate and maintain a clean work space
Checking and preparation of surfaces
Prepare the setup of machinery and equipments
Agitating spray compound and load materials into machine
Sprayfill and tape joints
Tape internal and bead external angles
Bedding tapes
Smooth Joints
Spray first coat of Airless Finish
Use spat or flexible blade to smooth off
Spray second or multiple coats of Airless Finish
Use spat or flexible blade to smooth off
Spray second or multiple coats of Airless Finish
Sand off using dustless sanders and hand sanding
Smooth internal corners (Corner trowels)
Snagging
Clean tools, machine and equipment

Assessment: For the successful completion of training, delegates must complete an end of course practical assessment and assessed using multiple-choice questions, a minimum of 10 questions must be asked and delegates are required to achieve an overall pass mark of at least 80%.
