Tilt Rotator

This short course is aimed at learners who would like to refresh their tilt rotator knowledge and skills.

Course Content

  • Describe the nature of the sector of industry and their role and responsibilities as a plant operator.
  • Name an explain the purpose of principal components, the basic construction, controls and terminology.
  • Conform with manufacturer’s requirements as per the operator’s handbook, and other types of information source and relevant regulations and legislation.
  • Explain the different types of tilt rotator products.
  • Identify appropriate PPE for tilt rotator use.
  • Complete al pre-use checks in accordance with manufacturer’s requirements.
  • Complete all necessary safety checks of the work area.
  • Fit and remove attachments in a safe manner.
  • Comply with all safety requirements for attachment security.
  • Consider environmental impacts.
  • Carry out shut down and securing procedures.

Course Structure

  • Course Length: 1 day
  • Minimum Age: 18
  • Assessment: MCQ and Practical Test.

Who is this course designed for?

This course will benefit both newly qualified and experienced operatives who have at least 7 hours experience as the operator of a 360 excavator.

Assessment

Assessment is a classroom based session followed by an assessment paper with 10 Multiple Choice Questions taken at the end of the session, marked by the assessor. Practical test observed by the assessor.
