Coronavirus update for customers

As you will be aware the government imposed a third national lockdown from Tuesday 5th January 2021. You will find out more operational detail on the implications for each of these services through the following links:

Update 29th March 2021

On 24th March, Ofqual published the VTQ Contingency Regulatory Framework (VCRF) which allows NOCN to provide centres with awarding arrangements for learners who have had their training and assessment disrupted in 2021. The Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Insulation and Building Treatments -Cold/Warm Roof Insulation qualification has been developed for achievement in a real workplace environment which means you need to be employed to undertake this qualification.

This qualification enables you, the learner, to demonstrate and recognise your skills, knowledge and understanding and to demonstrate your competence in a real workplace environment so you can work as a Roof Insulation Installer within the construction industry.

You will be assessed against a set of performance and knowledge statements which have been derived from National Occupational Standards for your occupational area. You will be assessed by an occupationally competent and qualified assessor whose job is to work with you and help you complete your qualification.

This qualification supports the learner to attain enabling, fundamental and transferable practical skills with associated underpinning knowledge.

This qualification is supported by the Property Care Association (PCA).

The learner will cover key practical skills and knowledge in these mandatory units:
-Conforming to General Health, Safety and Welfare in the Workplace
-Conforming to Productive Working Practices in the Workplace
-Moving, Handling and Storing Resources in the Workplace
-Installing Insulation to Cold Roofs in the Workplace
-Installing Insulation to Warm Roofs in the Workplace.

Min Credits : 46

Description: To achieve this qualification a minimum of 46 credits need to be attained from the Mandatory Group. There is also an additional unit that can be taken as part of this qualification. This unit will be included on the certification, but will not count towards this qualification.
