The NOCN Level 2 NVQ Certificate in Removal of Non-Hazardous Waste (Construction) qualification is vocationally based and as such, offers the opportunity for learners to demonstrate an achievement of practical skills, understanding and knowledge in the workplace. Learners will demonstrate knowledge of generic skills including conforming to health, safety and welfare and productive working practices as well as moving, handling and storing resources. Learners will also cover installing, maintaining and removing work area protection and removing non-hazardous waste. The NOCN Level 2 NVQ Certificate in Removal of Non-Hazardous Waste (Construction) qualification has been developed to allow learners to evidence their occupational competence in removing non-hazardous waste. It can be taken as a standalone qualification to demonstrate occupational competence and may provide evidence for operatives to be able to apply for their Blue – Skilled Worker Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card, if available. This NOCN Level 2 NVQ Certificate in Removal of Non-Hazardous Waste (Construction) qualification has been developed with reference to the National Occupational Standards (Recommended Qualification Structure for Removal of Hazardous and Non-Hazardous Waste (Construction) Level 2). The learner will be assessed by an occupationally competent and qualified assessor whose job is to work with the learner and help the learner complete the qualification. The learner will learn key practical skills and knowledge in these mandatory units: -Conforming to General Health, Safety and Welfare in the Workplace -Conforming to Productive Working Practices in the Workplace -Moving, Handling and Storing Resources in the Workplace -Installing, maintaining and removing work area protection and safety equipment in the workplace -Removing non-hazardous waste in the workplace.
