The qualification is designed to develop skills for personal effectiveness and progression at work for vulnerable adults who are experiencing barriers to learning and progression because of literacy, language or numeracy (LLN) requirements. The qualification is also aimed at those in employment with no formal qualifications and who are vulnerable within the workplace because of the threat of redundancy, workplace changes and/or demands of increasing flexibility from their work role, which includes developing skills in a recession and also supporting learners and employers to upskill for recovery.
