This qualification is designed to develop some of the basic skills needed to look after oneself and one’s home. The qualification can build on previous achievement of awards in specific areas, but also allow for a more in depth look at some of the skill areas and ensure, by the rules of combination, that a breadth of skill areas is covered.

Description: The learner must complete 15 credits. A minimum of 9 credits must be at the level of the qualification, Entry 3, with a maximum of 6 credits at Entry 1 or Entry 2. The 1 credit unit in Mandatory Group B must be achieved, plus 3 credits from Mandatory Group C - Household Skills; 3 credits from Mandatory Group D - Personal Care; and 3 credits from Mandatory Group E - Personal Development and Leisure Activities. The remaining 5 credits can be taken from any units in Groups C, D, or E.
