The NOCN Level 2 Award in Peer Mentoring is designed to provide an overview of the role of peer mentor. Learners will gain knowledge of the boundaries of the role and the benefits the role can bring to young people and communities, and will develop skills in assessing their effectiveness in the role. They will also gain knowledge of relevant legal requirements, codes of conduct, record keeping and referrals and will develop skills in establishing peer mentoring relationships and relevant communication skills.
