The NOCN Level 3 Diploma for Health Screeners is designed to provide a Health Screener the recognition of having demonstrated underpinning skills, knowledge and understanding to enable them to undertake their role. Learners will gain knowledge on generic skills such as communication, principles of person centred care, safeguarding, infection prevention and control as well more specific areas related to the five pathways:

Diabetic Eye (Grader)
New Born Hearing
The qualification will confirm occupational competence to the standards required for each of the Health Screener job roles.

Description: Learners must achieve 58 credits to achieve the Diabetic Eye (Grader) pathway. A learner must achieve 37 credits from Mandatory Group A and then 21 credits four specialist units which are specific to this pathway.
