The NOCN Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Tunnelling Operations -Tunnel Boring Machine Operator (Construction) qualification is vocationally based and as such, offers the opportunity for learners to demonstrate an achievement of practical skills, understanding and knowledge in the workplace.
Learners will demonstrate knowledge of generic skills including conforming to health, safety and welfare in the workplace and productive working practices as well as occupational skills such as excavating and profiling tunnels and preparing and operating earth pressure balance and slurry tunnel boring machines to construct and form tunnels.
