The purpose of this qualification is to equip learners with the knowledge and understanding to progress to further training in a construction trade area at Level 2, and on completion at Level 2 to progress into a job role in the construction industry. This Level 1 qualification provides learners with an overview of the construction industry and influencing factors both locally and nationally. Learners will also develop an understanding of the health and safety requirements for working in the construction industry.
