The purpose of this qualification is to equip learners with the knowledge and understanding to progress into a job role in the construction industry. Learners also have the option to go on to undertake a Level 3 qualification in their chosen trade. This Level 2 qualification provides learners with a range of carpentry and joinery skills and knowledge. Learners will also develop an understanding of the health and safety requirements for working in the construction industry, and the industry itself.

Description: In order to achieve/pass this qualification learners must successfully complete/achieve 60 credits, comprised of 10 credits from the mandatory group, at least 40 credits from Optional Group A and a further 10 credits from either Optional Groups A or B.
