Coronavirus update for customers

NOCN Group offers a wide range of services including regulated qualifications, EPA for apprenticeships, Job Cards in construction, Access to HE Diplomas, bespoke accreditation, and educational and skills support training.

As you will be aware the government imposed a third national lockdown from Tuesday 5th January 2021. You will find out more operational detail on the implications for each of these services through the following links:

Update 29th March 2021

On 24th March, Ofqual published the VTQ Contingency Regulatory Framework (VCRF) which allows NOCN to provide centres with awarding arrangements for learners who have had their training and assessment disrupted in 2021. Employability Qualifications

NOCN offers a range of employability qualifications to help people enter employment and succeed at work.

NOCN has developed Employability Skills Qualifications ranging from entry-level 1 through to level 2 which are suitable for learners of all ages. These qualifications have been designed to provide different groups of learners with the skills, attributes, and behaviours that they need to enter and succeed in the world of work.

Entry Level Awards in Using Employability Skills

These Certificates are designed to address the needs of learners at Entry Level and those with learning difficulties and disabilities. They have been designed to enable the selection of units to suit the diverse needs of learners.

The units used within these qualifications are the same units as those in the current Using Employability Skills qualifications, the difference is that all of the units are optional.

Using Employability Skills

These qualifications are aimed at learners aged 14 years and over, working at entry-level and in particular for those with learning difficulties and disabilities. They provide opportunities for learners to develop personal, social, and development skills and vocational knowledge. 

Developing Skills for Employment

These qualifications are aimed at those aged 14 – 16 years to promote skills that are essential for success in life and work and prepare them to enter employment.

Employability

These qualifications are aimed at those aged 16 years or over who are unemployed or about to enter employment.  

Skills for Employment, Training and Personal Development (SETPD)

These qualifications are aimed at those aged 14 years or over. They are designed to provide an introduction to working in identified sectors as well as personal development and employability skills to build confidence for the workplace.

Entry Level 3 Preparing for Further Learning or Employment

These qualifications are aimed at those aged 14 years or over. They offer the opportunity to identify personal learning or employment goals; address areas for personal improvement and achieve employment-based skills, including work-related units.
