Entry Level in Preparing for Further Learning or Employment

Qualifications aimed at those aged 14 and over offering the opportunity to identify personal learning or employment goals; address areas for personal improvement; and achieve achieve employment-based skills, including work-related units.

These Entry Level 3 qualifications provide learners with the opportunity to select units with a 'spiky' profile. The majority of the units have to be achieved at Entry 3, the rest of the optional unit content can be at Entry 1 or 2.

The qualifications are suitable for upskilling and reskilling learners and offer progression routes onto Level 1 and 2 qualifications.

Sector Pathways

Hospitality, Healthcare, Manufacturing, Transport and Construction are amongst the sectors worst affected in the UK by staff shortages and it is vital that we equip people with the skills needed to fill these vacancies.

To help learners develop the skills they need to work in these sectors we have developed pathways for our Entry Level 3 Preparing for Further Learning or Employment qualifications. All the units in these pathways have been pre-selected and mapped to the practical skills and knowledge required for each sector.
