Aim
The purpose of this unit is to provide learners with a basic understanding of computers. It is an introductory unit providing useful but basic information.
The learner will be familiar with computer parts and input devices and common computer terms, and should be able to describe their use. Learners will also understand the different features of types of computer, and different types of applications.
In addition, the learner will be able to understand what an operating system is and know what career opportunities are available for computer literate people.
