Aim
This unit is about receiving goods returned by the customer. In this unit, ‘goods’ can be interpreted to mean different types of item in different hire environments. You are required to be aware of goods that are due for return and take appropriate action if the goods have not been returned. You are expected to check that goods are returned in a condition that is acceptable to your organisation. When goods are not returned in the correct condition, you need to apply any penalties or extra payments for which the customer is responsible. You are also expected to make sure that the goods are returned to storage and kept in the correct conditions.
