Aim
The aim of this unit is to illustrate the skills, knowledge and understanding required to confirm competence in operating and controlling operations of road plant, machinery or equipment for laying surface dressing in the workplace within the relevant sector of industry.

This unit must be assessed against ONE of the following endorsements:

- self-propelled chipping machine
- tailboard chipping machine
- combined spray tanker and chipping machine
- spray bar
- tipper grab
- loading shovel
- roller.
