Aim
This unit is about the ability to use applications designed to create, modify and layout images for display in print or on a screen.



The learner will select and use a range of imaging application tools and techniques to produce at times non-routine or unfamiliar images. They will create; manipulate; obtain; insert and optimise images in line with requirements.


Assessment guidance and/or requirements
The nature of the task should be unfamiliar and the tools and techniques used by the learner should be selected by them. The learner should take some responsibility for developing the type or structure of the document.
LO 1 and LO 2 Designs should ‘meet requirements’ such as those set out by customers both internal and external or the requirements of the task as set by the tutor/assessor.
