Aim
The aim of this unit is to provide the learner with the skills to:
• repair built-up bituminous roofing in accordance with the current health and safety and building regulations in:
• new roof projects
• refurbishment/renewal projects.
The skills developed by the learner will include:
• use of built-up bituminous hand tools
• use of bitumen boilers and torching equipment
• repair of built-up bituminous roofing to all surfaces details and surface finishes.
